Gucci Saves Japan

A few days ago the famous Italian luxury brand Gucci launched a limited edition bracelet, bearing a round silver pendant that says “Gucci loves you”.

The bracelet is being sold for $100 where proceeds will be going to the Japanese Red Cross Society, to help support the relief efforts for the earthquake and tsunami that occurred a couple of weeks ago.

Made from anti-allergic white calf leather, three adjustable sizes, and the house’s iconic buckle horsebit, the bracelet is featured in white and red colors similar to Japan’s flag. The chic charity bracelet has launched in Japan first, and then will be sold in stores all over Europe, USA, and Asia.

Gucci and PPR Luxury Group – its parent company, have raised $3 million in donations so far to help the victims of the recent earthquake.

Gucci also picked Japan over China to celebrate its 90th anniversary, putting on a show from June 25- July 13 at Kyoto's Golden Temple which will of course boost the Japanese morale and economy a little bit. Japan, Gucci does love you!
